What We Do

At Alone (Alone), we firmly believe that achieving resource democracy, social justice, and human rights in the key sectors of energy, mining, the environment, climate change, trade, and public budgets is not just a lofty ideal but a crucial imperative for the sustainable development of communities and nations. Our multi-faceted approach involves empowering marginalized communities by enhancing their participation in decision-making processes related to resource extraction, distribution, and utilization.

We advocate for transparent and accountable governance, seeking to dismantle structures of exploitation and inequity that have perpetuated historical injustices. By working closely with local communities, civil society organizations, and policymakers, we strive to create inclusive policies that address the needs and aspirations of the most vulnerable, fostering an environment where human rights are upheld, social justice is secured, and resources are shared equitably, thereby contributing to a more harmonious and prosperous society for all.

We engage in research and monitoring, popular education and advocacy in solidarity with communities, activists and scholars working to promote social change in Nigeria and other countries in the Gulf of Guinea region of Africa
