THE NIGER DELTA ANTI-CORRUPTION LEARNING SUMMIT 2025
Corruption has remained a major obstacle to the development of the Niger Delta region, contributing to the mismanagement of its vast natural resources, deepening poverty, and undermining trust in public institutions. Despite the region’s wealth in natural resources, the Niger Delta continues to grapple with systemic corruption and underdevelopment.
To address these challenges, there is an urgent need to strengthen transparency and accountability mechanisms across all levels of governance. In this light, Social Development Integrated Centre (Social Action), with the support of the MacArthur Foundation, is convening a strategic summit to foster collaboration and reinforce anti-corruption efforts. The summit seeks to build resilience among stakeholders, fostering a robust culture of integrity and civic accountability.
The summit is scheduled to hold as follows:
🗓 Date: Tuesday, May 27, 2025
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM (WAT)
📍 Venue: Golden Tulip Hotel, Stadium Road, Port Harcourt
Theme:
“Building Stakeholders’ Resilience for Sustained Accountability and Development in the Niger Delta.”
This year’s summit is a vital convening of government institutions, civil society actors, international partners, and community members. Our shared mission: to strengthen collaborative actions against corruption, promote transparency, and champion sustainable development in the Niger Delta.
