Social Action And EFCC Collaborate For Public Finance Accountability

The Social Action supported Rivers State Anticorruption Network (ACONET) partnered with Port Harcourt Zonal Office of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in collaboration with members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to carry out an anti-corruption sensitization walk on Friday, 14th February 2020. The walk, which kicked off from the EFCC office at 8am was aimed at informing the youths on the need to embrace the fight against corruption in the country.Speaking during the event, the EFCC Port Harcourt Zonal Chairman, Usman Iman charged youths and other agencies represented to take ownership of the fight against corruption and to see themselves as anti-corruption crusaders, and future of the anti-corruption fight in the country. Further speaking, he said corruption is a fight that we should not be tired of fighting, and the reason why the walk was targeted at the youths was because they are the future drivers of the nation
The march saw the participation of members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Nigerian Women, and other stakeholders.
