The International Organisation for Migration says it is supporting health actors in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states to construct 90 quarantine shelters to take care of health emergency brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Borno State Commissioner for Health, Dr Salisu Kwayabura, on Friday, April 24, 2020, announced that three new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Borno, bringing the total number of infections in the state to 15.

The federal government has set upna probe panel to unravel the fire outbreak at Ngala Internally Displaced Persons IDPs’ camps in Borno State.

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajia Sadia Farouq, inaugurated the panel with a mandate to submit report within seven days.
