Safeguarding Prosperity Through Responsible Energy Extraction
We address petroleum pollution, promote equitable distribution of resource revenues, protect livelihoods, and tackle environmental and health consequences of resource extraction in the Niger Delta of Nigeria and the Gulf of Guinea. We support community involvement in managing natural resources via
Community Advocacy Centres (CACs), providing knowledge about national and international protocols relating to natural resource management.
Balancing Benefits or Resources and Protection of Communities
Through our Resource Justice programme, we work to improve the natural resource regime in which the rights, livelihoods and environment of host communities are protected while the broader Nigerian population benefits from mining, oil and gas.
